Ink & Order for Developers (the “Service”) is a document-to-PDF API run by Yard Socket LLC of Xenia, Ohio (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the developer API and this website only. The Ink & Order PDF app at www.inkandordertools.com is a separate product with its own terms, refund policy and privacy policy. By creating an API key or using the Service you agree to these terms.
You get a key by giving us an email address. There is one key per email. Your key is shown once, so store it safely and keep it secret. You are responsible for everything done with your key. If it leaks, tell us at hello@inkandordertools.com and we will replace it. We may disable a key that is being misused.

Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly in US dollars through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Taxes may be added where required. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles it.
You can cancel at any time. Your plan then stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and afterwards your key returns to the Free plan. We do not give partial-month refunds, except where the law requires it or where we made a billing mistake. If you think we billed you in error, email hello@inkandordertools.com and we will make it right.

We may suspend or disable keys that break these rules.
You keep all rights to your files and the PDFs made from them. You allow us to process them only to perform the conversion you asked for. Files are held in temporary storage for the length of the request and are deleted right after the PDF is returned, whether it succeeds or fails. We do not read, keep or use file contents. If your HTML refers to images, fonts or styles on other websites, our conversion engine will fetch them from the internet to build your PDF. You are responsible for having the right to convert what you send us. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We work to keep the Service running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or retire features. Conversion is done by open-source engines (LibreOffice and Chromium), so a PDF may look different from the original. Please check your output before relying on it, especially for legal, financial or safety-critical documents.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breaking these terms, for misuse, or if we stop offering the Service. If we end a paid plan without cause, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will email the address on your key, and for paid plans we will do so at least 30 days ahead. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
